HUBBARD Margaret Demko, 93, formerly of Hubbard, died Friday morning at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born April 12, 1914, in Youngstown, a daughter of Steven and Helen Deak Jurista and lived most of her life in the area.
A homemaker, Mrs. Demko was a member of St. Patrick Church and its Legion of Mary. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, a former Girl Scout Leader and a 1934 graduate of Chaney High School. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an expert in sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Her husband, Joseph Demko, whom she married November 25, 1939, died February 4, 1984. She leaves one son, Paul (Patricia) Demko of Brick, NJ; three daughters, Peggy (Lloyd) Culp of University Heights, OH, Mary Ann (Michael) Sisco of Fairfield, OH and Alice (Thomas) Ruble of Lexington, NC; nine grandchildren, Robert (Katherine), Catherine (Mason), Sarah, Joseph, Mary Beth (Jack), Edward (Lisa), Allison, Daniel (Jessica) and Susanne; six great grandchildren, Jakin, Andrew, Corban, Elizabeth, Anne and Lucinda.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert Dean, Joseph Jurist and Bert Jurista and two sisters, Helen Barany and Ann Candor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:30 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 11:00 am at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am prior to the service.
