WEST MIDDLESEX, PA Mae E. Pope Baer, 85, of West Middlesex, died Wednesday evening, February 15, 2006, at Jameson Care Center in New Castle. She was born September 6, 1920, in Campbell, a daughter of Leo and Mary Elnicka Onestak and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Baer was a homemaker and a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in New Bedford, PA. Mae enjoyed baking and crocheting.

Her first husband, John Pope, whom she married on September 5, 1940, died February 23, 1981 and her second husband, Charles Baer, is also deceased.

She leaves a son, John Pope of New Bedford, PA; a daughter, Patricia (John) Rakoci of Hubbard; two brothers, Michael Onyszczak of West Middlesex and Joseph Onestak of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Natalie Rakoci and Audra Rakoci-Jimison, both of Hubbard and two great-grandchildren, Scott and Dominic Jimison, both of Hubbard.

Besides her husbands, her parents, two sisters, Katherine Renshaw and Ann Stromp and two brothers, Paul and John Onestak, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard , where friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
