HUBBARD Mabel A. Katko, 79, died Friday evening, September 4, 2009, at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born August 20, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of Ralph and Margaret Bowie Slayton and was a life long area resident.

A homemaker, Mabel was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, a former Girl Scout leader and she enjoyed traveling.

Her husband, Daniel A. Katko, whom she married June 4, 1949, died October 9, 2007. She leaves a son, Ricke D. (Sheila) Katko of Martinsville, IN; a daughter, Karen (William) Klenke of Modesto, CA; a brother Harry Slayton of Youngstown; a sister, Jane Daff of Hubbard .

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Barrett Klenke.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm prior to the service at 4:00.
