Obituary


HUBBARD Lucille T. Taafe, 76, of Hubbard, died Saturday afternoon. She was born April 12, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of Louis and Anna Elizabeth Joyce Toupin and was a life long area resident.

Mrs. Taafe, also known as Teedy, was a homemaker and had previously worked for the U.S. Government, Department of Navy from 1941 to 1944. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and enjoyed golf, tennis, softball and crafts. She particularly enjoyed playing kickball with her family at their many gatherings.

She leaves her husband, Jerry E. Taafe, whom she married June 25, 1945, two sons, Gerald and James Taafe, both of Hubbard; five daughters, Judy Herrholtz, Karen Jones and Colleen Noble, all of Hubbard, Patty Lee of Wooster, OH and Kim Yasher of North Jackson, OH; three sisters, Jane Murphy of Dayton, OH, Eleanor Bowden of Fayetteville, PA and Joan Byers of Canfield; 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A sister, Rita Wolfgang and a brother, William Toupin are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Monday, 7 to 9 PM.

Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
