Obituary


HUBBARD Lucille "Lucy" R. Benedict Madeline, 91, formerly of Hubbard, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at University Hospital of Bedford, OH. She was born December 25, 1910, in Hubbard, a daughter of Louis and Pasqualine Cataline Orlando and lived most of her life in Hubbard and Salem.

She was an operator at Salem China for 25 years and then worked at Longo's Restaurant in Hubbard for 10 years. She was also a hairdresser at Charles Livingston's.

Mrs. Madeline was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, the Bible Study Class, Catholic Jewish Dialog and the Infant Jesus of Prague. She was also a member of St. Paul's Church, Salem, OH, a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Bevlin Association of Salem. She also belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and the Hubbard Senior Citizens.

Her first husband, August Benedict, died August 8, 1957 and her second husband, Anthony Madeline, died January 16, 1980. She leaves two sisters, Pauline Severino and Ann Bohecker, both of Youngstown; several nieces and nephews. Her parents, stepmother, Jenny Orlando, two brothers, Anthony P. Orlando and John Orlando and two sisters, Mary Pavlacic and Hazel Livermore are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, 5 to 8 PM.
