Louise Merwin's Obituary
HUBBARD Louise Harriett Merwin, 92, died Monday evening January 31, 2011 at Liberty Healthcare. She was born September 15, 1918 in Coitsville, a daughter of Lewis H. and Christine Steib.
Mrs. Merwin worked for General Electric for many years and had previously worked for Home Savings and Loan Company. Louise was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard where she also served as a deacon. She was a member of the Hubbard Fortnightly Club.
Her husband, Robert A. Merwin, whom she married September 30, 1939, died in 1978.
She leaves a brother, Louis Steib of Warren; two sisters, Lucy Hammer of Florida and Fritzie Steib of Arizona; three grandchildren, Joey (Dawn) Pozega of Columbus, Christine (Garyn) Sheets of Cleveland and Brian Werner of Hubbard; three great grandchildren, Hayden, Grace and Madelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Jackie Fulford and Juanita Werner and a sister, Mandy Jones.
Family and friends may call on Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave., Hubbard, OH 44425.
