LIBERTY Louis A. "Bob" McLain, Jr., 84, died Saturday evening at Campus Health Care. He was born August 28, 1925 in Salisbury, MD, a son of Louis A. and Cora Lee Porter McLain, Sr. and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. McLain was a truck driver for General Fireproofing for 32 years. He also owned and operated the Central Inn from 1976 to 1987. He served with the United States Army during World War II, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3307 and enjoyed stamp collecting.
His wife, Mary B. McLain, whom he married in 1969, died February 18, 1998.
He leaves two sons, Louis "Butch" McLain of Hubbard and Richard (Linda) McLain of Liberty; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael McLain and a sister, Florence Perl .
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mahoning Valley Memorial Park.
