HUBBARD Louis K. Demyen, 90, died Saturday afternoon at Northside Hospital. He was born February 28, 1921 in Youngstown, a son of Louis Coleman and Katherine Koleszar Demyen and has lived in Hubbard for 51 years.
Mr. Demyen was a carpenter millwright for the Carpenters Local 171 for more than 60 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Knights of Columbus where he was a 3rd degree. Louis was a member of the Hubbard VFW Post No. 3767 and its golf league and the Campbell Civics Club. Louis served with the United States Army and was a graduate of East High School. He was an avid Browns and Ohio State football fan, enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, golfing and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, the former, Rose Stefanich, whom he married June 19, 1948; two sons, Robert (Debra) Demyen and Richard Demyen both of Hubbard; a daughter, Stephanie (Steve) Lanphear of Masury; a sister, Magdaline (John) Paulette; five grandchildren, four step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Demyen, two sisters, Julia Pauschert and Margaret Demyen and a granddaughter, Taylor Ann Demyen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
