HUBBARD Louis J. Choppa, 87 of Hubbard, died Thursday evening, March 4, 2004, at Northside Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1916, in Hubbard, a son of Andrea and Rose Graziano Cioppa and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Choppa was an auditor for Ohio Edison for 47 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, a charter member of the former Owls Club of Hubbard and a 1954 graduate of Youngstown College. He was with the Army in World War II serving with the Careers Transfer Office in Algiers, North Africa for 4 years where he handled confidential documents. He enjoyed golf.

His wife, the former Madaline M. Ward, whom he married November 8, 1941, died October 23, 2000. He leaves a brother, Dominic S. Choppa of Hubbard; three sisters, Louise M. Blystone of Hermitage, PA, Rosemary Bosco of Hubbard and Mary Therese Benden of Freehold, NJ. and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

His parents, a brother, Angelo Choppa and two sisters, Antoinette Riccitelli and Jennie Mangan are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home
and at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday 5 to 7 PM.
