HUBBARD Lorene R. Hurley, 76, of Hubbard, died Monday evening, May 22, 2006, at Northside Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa, a daughter of William P. and Mildred Byers Sheldon and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Hurley was a nurse at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center for 18 years, retiring in 2001 and prior to this worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of New Life Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star Marian Chapter No. 278. Lorene enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Her first husband, Ellis S. Pedrick, whom she married July 12, 1952, died on February 18, 1977.

She leaves her husband, William "Bud" Hurley, whom she married July 22, 1977; eight sons, Thomas (Maureen) Pedrick of Columbus, OH; Dwayne Pedrick of Cincinnati, OH, Mark Pedrick of Cleveland, OH, Robert Hurley, Michael (Debra) Hurley, Frank Hurley, Jeff (Laura) Hurley and Roger Hurley, all of Russells Point, OH, a daughter, Vicki (Joseph) Garasky of Canfield; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a cousin, Lois Walker of Johnstown, PA.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at New Life Lutheran Church, 1181 Churchill-Hubbard Rd., Liberty Twp., OH.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church, prior to the service.
