HUBBARD Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mike Byus officiating for Lois S. Riggle, 85, who died Saturday afternoon October 8, 2016 at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born July 31, 1931 in Edinburg, PA a daughter of Harry L. and Bessie Burdette Shaner and was a lifelong Hubbard resident. Mrs. Riggle, a 1950 graduate of Hubbard High School was a member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene. She was an inspector for Packard Electric for 28 years, retiring in 1987. Lois was affectionately known as "Granny" to the many children that knew her. Her husband Paul Riggle, whom she married December 19, 1967, died October 8, 2005. She leaves two daughters, Linda Nicol of Hubbard and Donna (Brian) Carnahan of Hubbard; three stepsons, Jack Riggle, Jerri Riggle and Joe Riggle all of Warren; a stepdaughter, Jill Miller of Florida; 12 grandchildren, Paul and Chip Nicol, Kelli (Jed) Hepfner, Shane and Michael Carnahan, Jon Paul Riggle, Janet (Joe) Perry, Nathan (Emma) Riggle, Anna (Nicholas) Ciferno and Forest Miller; a great granddaughter, Alexandria Perry and a great grandson, Nathan Hepfner. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Mildred, Ruth, Grace, Nellie and Ruby; four brothers, Charles, Roy, Merle and Oliver and a daughter, Sandra Matthews Sturges. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also on half hour prior to the funeral services on Thursday from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene.
