RALEIGH NC Linda L. Portz, 64, lost her battle with cancer Saturday evening August 31, 2013 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. She was born September 8, 1948 in Sharon, PA the daughter of Mary Shanley and Thomas Steiner.

Linda graduated from Farrell High School in 1966. She worked for Macy's until her recent retirement. She loved going to the beach with her family, taking her dogs to the park where she enjoyed time with her friends and she loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She leaves behind her husband, Russel Portz whom she married May 22, 1981; two children, a daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Garrison of Columbus, OH and a son, Dennis Gereb of Toledo, OH; four stepchildren, Laura Eckenrod of Greensboro, NC, Cheryl Portz of Medina, OH, Michael Portz and Steven Portz of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Viola Starr of Hubbard, OH, Rose Marie Russo of Hartford, OH and Carol Augustine of Masury, OH. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Jane Steiner of Hubbard, OH and grandchildren, Will Garrison, Dustin Portz, Audrick Portz, Ellse Portz, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved puppies, Daisy and Cocoa.

Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Greb, Eleanor Pringle, Kathleen Slezak and her brother, Jim Steiner.

Memorial services will be held Saturday September 28 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave., Hubbard, OH 44425.

Linda will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage, PA.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
