HAZLET, NJ Lillian R. Young, 80, of Hazlet, NJ, formerly of Hubbard, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. She was born on April 30, 1923, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Frederick and Ethel Williams Brown, Sr. and had lived in New Jersey for the past 52 years.

Mrs. Young was a homemaker, a member of Keyport NJ Senior Citizens and enjoyed bingo.

Her husband, Herbert Young, whom she married July 24, 1981, died December 5, 1990.

She leaves three sons, Robert Young of Hazlet, NJ, Paul Young of Keyport, NJ and John Hettrick, Jr. of Hubbard; four daughters, Gail Young of Keyport NJ, Phyllis Young of Perth Amboy, NJ, Emma Hettrick of Ocean, NJ and Joyce Lee of Hubbard; three brothers, Richard Brown of Dayton, NV, Carl Robert Brown and William Swartz, both of Hubbard; grandchildren, Karl Boehler, Melissa Vargas-Henry and Laura Boehler.

Besides her husband and parents, two brothers, Frederick Brown and Harry Swartz; three sisters, Ethel Clapper, Beatrice Hedley and Doris Brown, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hubbard.
