Lianne Vernell, born Sept. 12, 1986, went to the arms of the angels Monday, Oct. 6, 2008. She is survived by her mother, Jeanne and father, Anthony; grandmothers- Mary Vernell and Elizabeth Budd; aunts- Dianne Murray and Elizabeth (George) Rimko; uncles- Andrew (Sharon) Budd, William Budd, James (Kathy) Budd and Richard (Michele) Budd; numerous cousins and special friends Dan Keating, Vera Freels and Shawn Conatser. Special angels in Lianne's life were Dr. Imber Coppinger, Dr. William Platt and Dr. Anthony Chila.
Lianne was a senior at Ohio University in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, majoring in online journalism. Her passions included theater, playing piano and entertaining others with her own music compositions on guitar. She was also an Organ Donor with Lifeline of Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9PM at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, where the Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday 9:00PM. A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Athens at a later date. There will also be visitation Friday from 6-8PM at Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, Ohio her place of birth. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Hubbard on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Lianne's family would like to thank all of her friends for their love and support.
