Lewis Corll's Obituary


HUBBARD Lewis R. Corll, 89, of Hubbard, died on Sunday evening, December 9, 2007, at his residence. He was born on September 2, 1918, in Hubbard, a son of Plummer and Emma Ryser Corll and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mr. Corll was a self-employed dairy farmer for over fifty years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Corner House Christian Church in Hubbard and a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge in Farrell, PA. Lew had served with the U. S. Merchant Marines and enjoyed hunting.

His wife, the former Helen Melnik, whom he married on October 13, 1945, died on November 12, 2002.

He leaves a son, James L. Corll of Hubbard; three daughters, Judy C. Lutz of Hubbard, Margaret L. (Mark Burton) Corll-Burton of Brookfield and Patricia L. (Ray) Thomas of Washington, PA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Besides his wife, preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Oscar and Edward Corll and two sisters, Elizabeth and Helen Corll.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
