HUBBARD LeRoy Ballew Sr., 79, of Hubbard, died Friday afternoon, January 21, 2005, at his residence. He was born July 21, 1925, in Meadville, PA, a son of Charles and Blanche Hibbart Ballew and had lived in Hubbard for 42 years.
Mr. Ballew owned and operated BeaLee & Sons Construction Co. for 46 years retiring in 1985 and he also drove school bus for Hubbard Public Schools for many years. He was a member of Praise Cathedral in Niles and enjoyed traveling and doing yard work. LeRoy served with the U.S. Air Force from 1945 to 1948.
He leaves his wife, the former Beatrice Taylor, whom he married December 13, 1948; three sons, LeRoy (Judith) Ballew Jr. of Girard, Steven Ballew and Virgil Ballew, both of Hubbard; two daughters, Alice Darlene (James) Anderson and Connie (Robert) Ressler, both of Hubbard; 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
His parents, five brothers, Charles, Owen, Earl, Jerry and Albert Ballew, two sisters, Alice Deal and Pearl Renee, a grandson, Stewart Lee and a granddaughter, Jessica Ballew are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 5 to 8 PM.
