HUBBARD Leonard W. Wilson, 83, died Saturday morning April 5, 2014 at his home. He was born February 15, 1931 in Toledo, a son of Frank and Irene Scanlon Wilson and was a longtime Hubbard resident.
Mr. Wilson served with the United States Air Force and was a letter carrier with the United States Post Office in Youngstown for 40 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Covenant Life Fellowship Church, the YMCA of Niles and loved to go the Hubbard Library. Leonard enjoyed music, adored his family, attended his grandchildren's sporting events, and enjoyed amusement parks. He was a dedicated parishioner of his church and volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels in the Youngstown area.
His wife, the former Hilda J. Thomas, whom he married January 13, 1951, died February 7, 2008.
He leaves three daughters, Sharon Diane Aguilar of North Palm Beach, FL, Wannetta Clark of Austintown and Patricia Rydarowicz of Hubbard; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his former son-in-law, Kenneth Aguilar.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday one hour prior to the services from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Richard Keenan officiating whom is a close friend of the family.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrot Rd., Poland, OH 44514.
Interment will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
