HUBBARD Ledora Parsons, 85, died Saturday morning March 24, 2012 at his home. He was born June 19, 1926 in Putney, WV a son of Elmer and Shirley Ellen Hambric Parsons. Ledora came to Youngstown in 1951 from Clay County, WV moving to Hubbard in 1959.

Mr. Parsons worked in the open hearth at US Steel Ohio Works for 30 years, retiring in 1981 and before moving to Youngstown ran equipment in the coal mines of West Virginia. Ledora was a member of the Austintown Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and working around the house.

He leaves his wife, the former Clarice Shamblin, whom he married June 27, 1949; two sons, Dennie (Harlena) Parsons of Hubbard and Larry (Judy) Parsons of Canfield; four grandchildren, Timothy (Heather) Parsons of Vicksburg, MS, Daniel (Amber) Parsons of Gillette, WY and Jared and Nathan Parsons of Canfield; two great grandchildren, Cassandra and Jonathon Parsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jody Lee Parsons; three brothers, Leon, Jarrel and Robert Parsons and two sisters, Treccia Thomas and Deloris Parsons.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 2:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Cole officiating.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
