HUBBARD ~ Kenneth A. Stump, “Kenny” 71, passed away peacefully at home Saturday evening, September 5, 2026. Kenny was born November 9, 1954 in Youngstown, son of the late Kenneth “Sonny” and Helen “Flo” Gelbke Stump.

Kenny was a lifelong Hubbard resident and a graduate of Hubbard High School. He worked as a semi-truck driver for TCI, hauling steel coils in the Detroit area. He was also known as “The can man” for his art of recycling.

He loved the outdoors and found some of his greatest joy in hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time at Put In Bay with family and friends.

Known for his comical sense of humor and fun-loving personality, he enjoyed playing pool, bar hopping and spending time with his beloved dog, Moe Joe.

Kenny leaves his two sisters, Roxanne (Ron) Obruba of Hubbard and Chellie (Sil) Vitello of Commerce Township, Michigan.

He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews: Rusty Morgan; Randy (Judy) Morgan; Michelle Vitello; and Heather (Rusty) Langley along with great nieces and nephews: Joseph, Abbi, Brett, Adrianna and Kaylee.

Family and friends may call Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
