HUBBARD Kenethen Light, 85, of Hubbard, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at his residence. He was born July 25, 1918, in Tyrone, PA, a son of John and Georgiann Bruss Light and was a Hubbard resident for over 50 years.
Mr. Light worked for Youngstown Welding & Engineering for 43 years, retiring in 1980 and also worked for Cittig Tool & Forge Shop for 25 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and all sports. An avid baseball fan, he coached and played AA baseball in Youngstown and also played on various tennis, basketball and baseball teams in the area. Kenethen, who raced modified midget racecars and was a big NASCAR fan, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
His wife, the former Ulla V. Donnelly, whom he married November 10, 1954, died November 23, 2000.
He leaves a son, Floyd Light, of Columbus, GA; a daughter, Karen (Lew) Marchand of Gainesville, FL; a stepson, Dale (Pat) May of Vienna; a stepdaughter, Virginia Nicholass of Hartville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, his parents, two brothers, John Light and William Green and two sisters, Marie Antes and Isabel Farkas preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
