HUBBARD Karen Patricia LaCivita completed her journey to the Good Lord on October 13, 2024 with her loving daughter, Angela, granddaughter, Ava, and the love of her life, Rich, by her side. Karen was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 3, 1953 to James A. and Phyllis D. LaCivita.
Karen was a 1972 graduate of Hubbard High School and a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church of Hubbard. She was an amazing woman who always had a smile and a hug to give to anyone who needed it. She was always willing to give and help people as much as she could. Karen was a giving, caring and selfless person. She was an amazing cook and made delicious wedding soup and outstanding meatballs, everyone enjoyed eating her food as much as she enjoyed preparing it and always looked forward to the holidays. Karen so enjoyed her family, friends and Mary Kay family.
She was a devoted mother - grandmother - great grandmother – sister and aunt. She leaves the love of her life, Rich Richardson and his two sons Brian and Scott; her daughter Angela (Chad) Beach of Summerville, South Carolina; granddaughters Katie (Kyle) Jornigan of Lafayette, Indiana; Ava Beach of Summerville, South Carolina; and her great grandson Hudson Jornigan of Lafayette, Indiana. Karen also leaves her mother Phyllis LaCivita; one brother, Larry (Debbie) LaCivita; and three sisters, Maria (Donnie) Castner; Christine Mangan; and Susan LaCivita; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and her lifelong friends.
Karen worked as a cashier at Sparkle Market for many years before becoming a Mary Kay Consultant. She also managed Deer Creek Golf Course from 1981 – present with her family.
Karen loved spending time with her children, granddaughters and great grandson. She also enjoyed shopping, going to the casinos and playing the lottery.
Karen is preceded in death by her son John R. Violi; father, James A. LaCivita; brother James M. LaCivita; and nephew Anthony L. LaCivita.
Family and friends may call on Sunday October 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home and also on Monday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with The Very Rev. Michael Balash officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Youngstown Blue Coats, 2654 N. Main St., Hubbard, OH 44425.
