HUBBARD Mrs. June Rowlands, 84, of Hubbard died Wednesday afternoon August 22, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1917 in Akron, OH a daughter of Walter and Helen Brewer Davis and was a lifelong area resident.

June worked for Strouss Department Store for 8 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hubbard, served as Election Precinct Judge, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3767, the Hubbard Fire Department Auxiliary and was also a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader.

Her husband, Paul R. Rowlands Sr., whom she married November 1, 1940, died October 9, 1974. She leaves a son, Paul Rowlands Jr. of Champion; a daughter Mary Jane Gehring of Canfield: one grandson Paul Russell Rowlands III of Orlando, FL; one granddaughter Wendy M. Gehring of Alexandria VA and three great grandchildren. A granddaughter, Becky Jean Rowlands and a sister Peggy Jane Davis McCowen are deceased.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
