SEGUIN, TX Julius Yuhasz, 95, formerly of Hubbard, died Saturday evening February 25, 2012 at his home. He was born March 12, 1916 in Youngstown, a son of Frank and Betty Timar Yuhasz and lived most of his life in the area

During the great depression of the 1930's Julius attended Scienceville High School and left in his Junior year to serve two years in the Civilian Conservation Corps. During World War II he served four years with the United States Army, 90th Infantry Division, participating in the invasion of France. The division landed on Utah Beach, D-Day, and saw action in all five campaigns. He received five awards including the Bronze Invasion Arrow Head. Julius also saw action in the Battle of the Bulge, under General Patton's Third Army and attained the rank of Sergeant.

Julius was a production planner for Truscon Steel Company in Youngstown for 40 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the St. Patrick Church and graduated from the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. Julius was the first safety director of the City of Hubbard, under the late Mayor, Al "Barney" Sauline.

His wife, the former Mary Toda, whom he married September 30, 1950, died July 28, 1987.

He leaves two sons, Ronald (Jenny) Yuhasz of Georgia and Michael Yuhasz of Hubbard; a daughter, Sandra Lynn Allinos Tokarski of Seguin, TX with whom he made his home; a brother, Frank (Betty) Yuhasz of Struthers; a sister, Dolly (Anthony "Frenchy") DeSantis of Hubbard; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 brothers and sisters, Julia Simon, Andy Yuhasz, Mary Yuhasz, Florence Lupe Neri, Theodore Lupe, Betty Lupe, Nicholas Lupe, George Lupe and Thomas Lupe.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Friday 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
