HUBBARD Julian Fecych, 79, of Hubbard, died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Northside Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1925, in Hubbard, a son of John and Mary Kostiw Fecych, and was a life-long Hubbard resident.

Mr. Fecych worked for U.S. Steel Corp. Ohio Works for 18 years retiring in 1980 and also operated the Fecych family dairy farm. Prior to this he worked for General Fireproofing. He was a member of Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church in Youngstown, where he was an active pyrohy worker and a former church councilman. He enjoyed woodworking and making and repairing clocks. Julian was in the U.S. Army 63rd Division, serving in Germany during World War II and was a 1942 graduate of Hubbard High School.

He leaves his wife, the former Mary E. Dingledy, whom he married December 29, 1962; a son, John Fecych of Hubbard; a daughter, Ellen E. (Rhys) Benton of Naples, FL; a brother, William Fecych of Portland, ME; two sisters, Evelyn Patterson of Dallas, TX and Julia Fricker of Hubbard; a grandson, Joshua Benton.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church in Youngstown.

Friends may call Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, where there will be a Panahyda service at 4:00 p.m., and at church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
