GIRARD Julia A. Cohol, 92, died Monday evening April 29, 2024 at her home. She was born May 5, 1931 in McDonald, a daughter of Anton A. and Ann Makar Sperlak and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Cohol, a 1950 graduate of McDonald High School was a meat cutter for over 30 years having worked at Value King, A & P and IGA grocery stores. She was a member of the Croatian Club No. 598.

Her husband, Michael L. Cohol, whom she married March 29, 1952, died in August of 1986.

She leaves a son, Dennis Cohol of Niles; four grandchildren, Dennis (Norma) Cohol II, Tammy (Joe) Poggi; Kris (Kelly) Cohol and Ryan Cohol; eight great grandchildren, Mitchell, Brianna, Kaylin, Gabriella, Giuliana, Connor, William and Chelsea.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael and a sister, Bonnie Sperlak.

Family and friends may call on Monday May 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Diehl officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Life Fellowship Church, 5900 West Liberty St., Hubbard, OH 44425.

Julia's final resting place will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
