HUBBARD – Julia M. Bolchalk passed away Jan. 15, 2014.
She was born on March 29, 1921. Known to family and friends as "Jay," she was married to August Bolchalk (now deceased) for 41 years.
She is survived by son, Michael (Norma Showalter) of Tucson, Ariz.; granddaughters, Anne Bolchalk, Julia Bolchalk and Emma Bolchalk; great-granddaughter Madeline Quinlan; sisters, Mary Baldine of Hubbard, Pauline Longo of Hubbard, and Helen Mirkovich of Beaver, Pa.; brother, William Balash of Struthers; brother-in-law, Ronald Stefanick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Balash; brothers, Steve Balash and Michael Balash; and sister, Anne Stefanick.
"Jay" was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church in Hubbard and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services from 10, to 11 a.m. to be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hubbard.
