HUBBARD Joyce A. Golec, 71, of Hubbard, died Thursday evening, October 7, 2004, at her residence. She was born July 31, 1933 in Hubbard, a daughter of William and Mary Sherry Cooley and was a life long Hubbard resident.
Mrs. Golec was a medical secretary working for several area physicians most of her life retiring in 2001. A member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard, she served on the Worship Ministry and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was past president and life member of the Ohio Osteopathic Medical Assistants.
Her husband, Thomas Golec, whom she married March 1, 1969, died December 23, 1973.
She leaves her daughter, Mary Beth (Gary) Orr of Champion; step-daughter, Terri Golec of Struthers; step-sons, Thomas (Glenda) Golec of Poland and Timothy (Mary Ann) Golec of Indiana; grandsons, Joe (Sherri) DeMay III of Poland, Ryan DeMay of Columbus, OH, Jordan DeMay of Hubbard; great-grand daughters, Kate DeMay and Harper DeMay, both of Poland; a son-in-law, Joe DeMay of Hubbard and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and three sisters, Rita Roth, Dorothy Wroblewski and Elizabeth Cooley, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
There are no calling hours.
