HUBBARD Josephine A. Secich, 89, died Thursday morning, June 5, 2014 at O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born February 18, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Bridget Przelomski Strawinski and has lived in Hubbard since 1956.

Mrs. Secich, a homemaker, had worked for The Woolworth Company. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and was the cake booth chairman at St. Pat's Festival for 33 years. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and sports.

She leaves her husband, Thomas Secich, whom she married June 9, 1956; a son, Thomas Secich of Concord, OH; a daughter, Bridget (Alex) Forte of Hubbard and a grandson, Michael Forte of Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Henry, Benjamin, Edward and Chester Strawinski and a sister, Stella Strawinski.


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral services from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick School, 38 East Water St., Hubbard, OH 44425.


Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
