HUBBARD Josephine A. Nick, 88, died Tuesday evening December 23, 2014 at her home. She was born November 8, 1926 in Hubbard Township, a daughter of Charles and Mary Simeone Fortine and was a lifelong area resident.

She began working at Hazel Davis' Beauty Shop in Hubbard, then to co-owner of Polly-Jo's Beauty Shop on South Main Street in Hubbard. Later she became sole owner of Polly-Jo's. Shortly after marriage she sold Polly-Jo's and continued her cosmetology career working out of her home for many more years. Josephine also worked as the hair stylist for the former Kelley and Son Funeral Home for 40 years.
Although her career was cosmetology, her passion was ballet dancing; she learned her craft at Ann Wengler's Dance Studio, performing many recitals around the local area.
Josephine was a wonderful wife and mother. She had a smile for everyone. She lived her life putting others' needs before hers and got great joy from it. She will be missed by all who knew her.
