HUBBARD Joseph J. Yaksic, 88, died Friday afternoon, November 20, 2009 at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1921, in Hillsville, PA. a son of Mike and Frances Kuchel Yaksic and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Yaksic worked for The Sharon Steel Corporation as a bar mill operator for 43 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, the Hubbard VFW, Post No.3767 and a senior bowler. Joe served with the Army in World War II.

His wife, Barbara Bereck, whom he married October 25, 1949, died April 2, 2008.

He leaves a son, George M. (Peggy)Yaksic of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; one grandson Andrew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike L. and Anthony J. Yaksic, and three sisters, Elsie Kish, Mary A. Yaksic and Ann Prato.

There will be no funeral services or calling hours.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
