HUBBARD Joseph R. Ungaro, 73, died Thursday morning, April 29, 2010 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1937 in Youngstown, a son of Anthony and Anna Forese Ungaro and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Ungaro was a truck driver for Youngstown Building Materials for 17 years. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Joseph loved working on cars, racing and anything to do with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He refurbished bikes for the needy children of families who could not afford a new bike and was also known as Hubbard's oldest teenager.

He leaves his wife, Gerri Kollar Ungaro, whom he married July 11, 1970; a daughter, Tiffany Ungaro and her fiancée Ken of Hubbard; a brother, Rick Ungaro of Hubbard and his dog Corky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard "Rick" Allen Ungaro and a brother, Anthony "Tony" Ungaro, Jr.

There are no calling hours.

Graveside services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
