Joseph Tod's Obituary


HUBBARD Joseph F. Tod, 91, of Hubbard, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2005, at Northside Medical Center. He born March 22, 1914, in Coitsville Township, a son of Stephen F. and Helen M. Fedor Tod and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Tod owned and operated Tod's Lunch for 22 years and then worked for Stambaugh Thompson in Liberty for 12 years after retiring from the restaurant. Prior to the restaurant, he worked for Republic Rubber Co.

He was a member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed woodworking, singing and music. Joe was a Sergeant in the Army serving in Normandy, France in World War II.

His wife, the former Helen Lesnak, whom he married August 2, 1940, died May 20, 1991. He leaves two sons, Joseph J. (JeanAnn) Tod of Dayton, OH and Ronald G. (Alexandria) Tod of Hubbard; two grandchildren Paul J. Tod of Columbus and Scott G. Tod of Santa Monica, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dorothy Faber, and a grandson, Adam Tod.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm.
