HUBBARD Joseph J. Perrotta, Sr., 80, of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, August 31, 2008, as a result of Alzheimer's at Clare Bridge of Austintown. He was born on June 5, 1928, in Hubbard, a son of James and Margaret Cambert Perrotta and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.
Mr. Perrotta was a general foreman for the Boilermaker Union Local 744 of Cleveland for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He served as a Sergeant with the U. S. Air Force during World War II. Joe enjoyed golfing, physical fitness and gardening.
His wife, the former Jean Kowalsky, whom he married on August 1, 1950, died on January 31, 1997.
He leaves two sons, James Perrotta and Joseph Perrotta, Jr., both of Hubbard; two daughters, JoLynn Hitt of Hubbard and Jeannie Williams of West Middlesex, PA; a sister, Margaret Montecalvo of Hubbard; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, Viola Hanak, Lucy Perrotta and Helen Campoli and two brothers, Al and Angelo Perrotta.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
