HUBBARD Joseph P. Serrano, 72, died Saturday evening, August 16, 2008, at Hospice House. He was born February 28, 1936, in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, a son of Frank and Carmel Colucci Serrano and came to this country at the age of two living most of his life in the area.

Mr. Serrano, who retired from LTV Steel Corp. after 33 years of service, was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Steelworkers Union, Local 2163, where he was the recording secretary and the grievance man. He served in the U S Army and enjoyed World War II memorabilia and fishing

He leaves his mother, Carmel Beggs of Coitsville; his wife, the former Margaret "Peggy" J. Morgan, whom he married August 17, 1963; a son, Joseph W. Serrano of Coitsville; two daughters, Suzanne (Tony) Esposito of Canfield and Janet (Brian) Segro of Auburn Township, OH; a sister, Frances George of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, Anthony and Jessica Esposito, Tanner and Morgan Segro and Raegan Serrano.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Charles Beggs.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:30 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 pm.
