HUBBARD Mr. Joseph F. Macek, 84, of Hubbard, died Saturday, February 23, 2002, at Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL. He was born March 13, 1917, in Youngstown, a son of Paul and Katherine Timko and lived most of his life in Hubbard.

Mr. Macek was a crane operator for Republic Steel Corp. for 36 years before retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed bowling.

He leaves his wife, the former, Veronica Tablak, whom he married July 4, 1939; a son, Kenneth K. Macek of Wrightwood, CA; a daughter, Sandra A. Bogan of Boardman, OH; a brother, John Macek of Hubbard; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Nicholas Paul Macek and a brother, Paul Macek are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.
