HUBBARD Joseph F. Carano, 91, of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, February 6, 2005 at Omni Manor. He was born May 20, 1913, in Hubbard, a son of Joseph and Carrie Ross Carano and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mr. Carano worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and enjoyed golf and gardening.

His wife, the former Caroline DePaul, whom he married September 22, 1936, died January 6, 1989.

He leaves two sons, Joseph S. (Sue) Carano and Mark S. Carano, both of Hubbard; five daughters, Rita (Raymond) Tarr Fenton, Carol J. (Patrick) O'Rourke, Irene (Steve) Brall, Virginia (Carmen) Morocco and Laura (Mike) Gonzalez, all of Hubbard; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, his parents, brothers, Anthony, Dominic, James, William and Nick and sisters, Minnie DeSantis and Fannie Morrell, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

There will be no calling hours.
