HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home for Mr. John P. Yohman, 89 of Liberty Health Care Center, formerly of Westview Ave., who died Sunday afternoon at the nursing home.
He was born January 14, 1912 in Farrell, PA a son of Mike and Anna Palisin Yohman and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Yohman was a police officer for Sharon Steel Corp for 36 years before retiring in 1972 as a sergeant. He was a former member of St. Bernadette's Church, Masury and attended Victory Assembly of God Church, Lowellville, OH. He was a former member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol, Hubbard Conservation Club and the Hubbard Senior Citizens. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and traveling.
His wife, the former Mary Miziker, whom he married November 25, 1936, died November 27, 1984. He leaves a son, John N. Yohman of Hubbard; two daughters, Norma J. Schaeffer of Scottsdale, AZ and Wendy Setterberg of Masury, OH; four brothers, George Yohman of Hubbard, Mike Yohman of Niles, OH, Bob Yohman of Youngstown and Ray Yohman of Pulaski, PA; four sisters, Helen Grady of Florida, Margaret Yurko of Hubbard, Ann Bobey of Cleveland and Dorothy Malovich of Hermitage, PA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A sister, Evelyn Snyder is deceased.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Tuesday 6 to 9 PM.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery, Hubbard, OH.
