AUSTINTOWN Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard for Mr. John H. Wayland, 67 of 234 Parkgate who died Thursday morning at South Seminole Hospital, Orlando, FL.
He was born May 10, 1933 in Hubbard, a son of James H. and Ethel Young Wayland and was a lifelong area resident, spending the Winter's in Florida for the past 5 years.
Mr. Wayland, also known as Jack, was a machinist for Wean United Manufacturing, Austintown, for 31 years before retiring in 1991. He served with the United States Navy, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mineral Ridge. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Austintown, a life member of the National Rifle Association, was a 1952 graduate of Hubbard High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
He leaves his companion, Geraldine Porter; three sons, Richard, Gary and Steve Wayland all of Girard; three brothers, Robert Wayland of Niles, IL, David and Bruce Wayland, both of Hubbard; two sisters, Evelyn Gillie of Erie, PA and Janet Coulter of Brookfield; two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Tuesday 5 to 8 PM.
Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
