HUBBARD John M. Talbert, 85, of Hubbard, died Wednesday morning, July 26, 2006, at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center. He was born June 13, 1921 in Pomona Mills, NC, a son of John and Laura Ruth Talbert and lived in Hubbard for 47 years.
Mr. Talbert worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1978. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Central Europe, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hubbard Post No. 3767. He enjoyed fishing, all sports and dirt auto racing and was an avid Browns and Indians fan. John especially enjoyed being with his family.
He leaves his wife, the former Mary Gorol, whom he married on July 22, 1944; a son, Paul E. Talbert of Hubbard; a daughter-in-law, Sharon E. Talbert of Hubbard; two granddaughters, Stacy (Joe) Trobek of Masury and Laura Talbert of Pittsburgh, PA and three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Ashley and J.T. of Masury.
His parents and a son, John M. Talbert, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
