YOUNGSTOWN John R. Smith, 60, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of John A. and Evelyn Peterson Smith and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Smith was delivery manager for the Review Newspapers for 15 years. Prior to this he had worked for General Motors. John enjoyed playing his guitar and played in many area bands.

He leaves his wife, the former Betty McMillen, whom he married March 29, 1982; two sons, Wayne (Gabriella) Smith of San Diego, CA and Joshua Smith of Youngstown; two daughters, Wendy McCreary of Bristolville, OH and Brandy Smith of Youngstown and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call on Friday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
