HUBBARD John C. Percy, 86 of Hubbard, died Monday morning, April 7, 2003, at his residence. He was born February 11, 1917, in Iantha, MO, a son of Earnest J. and Lucy T. Veal Percy and had lived in Hubbard for 56 years.
Mr. Percy worked for Findley Welding Supply for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hubbard and its Homebuilders Club and Men's Club. He was also a member of the IOOF of Hubbard and was a Master Sergeant with the Army Air Corp in World War II.
His wife, the former Bonita M. McFarland, whom he married May 31, 1944, died September 26, 1999. He leaves a son, John D. (Pam) Percy of Austintown; a daughter, Linda (John) Nixon of Hammond, NY; three brothers, William H. Percy of Lamar, MO, Calvin E. Percy of Pittsburg, KS and Eugene V. Percy of Benton, AK; three sisters, Mary Allison and Eldora Schreckenghaust, both of Lamar, MO and Colleen Cope of OK; four grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers, Elwood and Earnest Percy and two sisters, Ruth Blair and Betty Armistead, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 5 to 8 PM.
