HUBBARD John Paul Paladenic, 88, died Wednesday evening December 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman. He was born March 20, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Katherine (Grguric) Hunyadi Paladinick and was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Paladenic was a steel hauler for various trucking companies for 45 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, both the Croatian Fraternal Union and Steel Haulers Union. John loved fishing, loved his grandkids and made the best ice cream cones. He loved helping anyone with any repairs of painting of their homes and was an excellent woodworker and painter. He loved the Christmas season and enjoyed entertaining family and friends Christmas Eve at his home.

John was preceded in death by his wife that he met at Idora Park, the former Mary Ann Binder, whom he married on May 7, 1949 and died March 10, 2010.

He leaves two sons, John J. Paladenic of Bronx, NY and James P. (Crystal) Paladenic of Seville, OH; three daughters, Denise M. (James) Lockiec of Struthers, Janice K. (Joseph) Burkholder of McDonald and Patrice A. (James) Hughes of Hubbard; a brother, Joseph (Susan) Paladenic of Sierra Vista, AZ; 12 grandchildren, Jim (Suzanne) Lockiec and Robert Lockiec, Amy (Ralph) Detoro, Joe (Renee) Burkholder, Shawn (Lizeth) Burkholder and Melissa (Jeff) Fleshman, Brittany (Justin) Lucas, Candace (Sean) Ryan and Arasin Hughes and Ryan, Cameron and Zachary Paladenic. 8 Great Grandchildren, Gia and Kara Detoro, Allison and Luke Lockiec; Hannah, Emily, Shawn and Simone Burkholder and 2 more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Ost; his stepfather, Andrew Hunyadi and a stepbrother, Steve Hunyadi.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call on Saturday one hour prior to the services from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
