Obituary


HUBBARD John Alexander Maloney, Sr., 83, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, April 12, 2005 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1921, in Lowellville, a son of George and Nellie Stephenson Maloney and was a Hubbard resident since 1973.

Mr. Maloney worked for the Sharon Steel Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II, and was of the Catholic faith.

His wife, the former Dorothy Householder, whom he married June 11, 1949, died May 1, 1985.

He leaves four sons, John A. Maloney, Jr. of Fowler, Michael John Maloney, Sr. of Hubbard, Joseph James Maloney of Fitchburg, MA and Richard Lee Maloney of Lowellville; three daughters, Nadine Scarborough of North Carolina, Sylvia A. Deware of Fitchburg, MA and Carolyn Jean Lutton of Pulaski, PA; two brothers, Merle Maloney of Lake Milton and David Maloney of Struthers; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Besides his wife, his parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
