HUBBARD John C. Larocca, 86, of Sharon, PA, formerly of Hubbard, died Wednesday evening, May 26, 2004, at his residence. He was born October 9, 1917, in Masury, OH, a son of Joseph and Josephine Juliano Larocca, moving to Sharon in October 2003.

Mr. Larocca worked for the former Trumbull County Nursing Home for 12 years, retiring in 1982. He attended Sharon and Brookfield schools and Penn-Ohio College for Masonry. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard, serving as an usher, Liberty Senior Citizens, Sharon Senior Citizens, VFW Post 3767 in Hubbard and a lifetime member of the Hubbard Conservation Club. Serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he enjoyed fishing and model railroading.

His wife, the former Martha M. Jackamo, whom he married July 5, 1947, died July 11, 1999.

He leaves two sons, John M. (Janet) Larocca of Girard and Daniel (Elaine) Larocca of Cortland; two brothers, Leonard Larocca of Hermitage, PA and Sam Larocca of West Middlesex, PA; a sister, Grace Niec of Muncie, IN; five grandchildren, Jeff (Cathie) Larocca, Maureen (John) Goetz, Bryan (Lisa) Larocca, Neil Larocca and Patrick Larocca; and a great-grandchild, Brendan Goetz.

Besides his wife; his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Marino Larocca and his sister, Lee McCandless preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
