SHREVEPORT, LA Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday December 15, 2012 at St. Patrick Church for John A. Kozar, 53, formerly of Hubbard and O'Fallon, IL who died November 16, 2012 at his home in Shreveport. He was born January 3, 1959 in Youngstown, a son of Stephen G. and Katherine M. Pretko Kozar.

Mr. Kozar was of the catholic faith, a 1977 graduate of Hubbard High School having been a senior when the Boys Basketball team won the Steel Valley Championship. He was a salesman for Holms Honda in Shreveport and loved to golf.

He leaves his wife, the former Patty A. Blamey whom he married in 1986; a son, PFC Michael C. Kozar of Ft. Bragg, NC; a daughter, Ashley M. Kozar of O'Fallon, IL; two brothers, Robert J. Kozar of Hubbard and Stephen G. (Linda) Kozar of Arvada, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call on Saturday December 15, 2012 at St. Patrick Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
