HUBBARD John J. Hudach, 74, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born January 19, 1935 in Youngstown, a son of John and Anna Gornichek Hudach and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Hudach was a deputy sheriff for the Trumbull County Sheriff Department for 18 and a half years retiring as a Sergeant in 1989. He served with the United States Navy and was a Ham Radio Operator with the call sign WA8PHN. John was a member of the 20/9 Ham Radio Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.

He leaves his wife, the former Ruth Samuelson, whom he married April 21, 1955; two sons, John F. Hudach of Mansfield and Gary L. (Mary) Hudach of Austintown; a brother, Fred V. Hudach of Hubbard and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ericka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Marie Smith.

There are no services or calling hours.

Arrangements were handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
