HUBBARD John D. Hogan, 82 of John XXXIII Nursing Home, formerly of Masury Rd., died Saturday afternoon at the home. He was born April 30, 1919, in McKees Rocks, PA, a son of George F. and Mary M. Black Hogan and moved to Hubbard in 1965.
Mr. Hogan was an engineer on the P&LE Railroad for 43 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, the VFW of Reynolds, PA and was an avid football fan having played collegiate football. He served in the Army in World War II.
His wife, the former Marie A. Maglich, whom he married July 13, 1946, died November 16, 1981.
He leaves two sons, Terry L. Hogan of Boardman and David J. Hogan of Hubbard; two daughters, Paula L. Ghirardi of Hubbard and Mary Sotterlee of Liberty; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother, George Hogan is deceased.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
