HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for John D. "JD" Dobos, 72, who died Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1939 in Marquez, TX, a son of Joseph R. and Goldie R. Tranick Dobos, Jr. and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mr. Dobos was a production worker for GM Packard Electric for 33 years, retiring in 1999 and was of the catholic faith. John was an aircraft mechanic for the United States Air Force for four years, having served 23 months of that time in Vietnam.

JD graduated from Hubbard High School, was a carpenter and loved woodworking. He was an avid bowler, loved to read and garden and was a general jack of all trades.

He leaves his wife, the former Sandra Sue Pappalardo, whom he married in August of 1974; two stepdaughters, Linda (Jerry) Homzy of Hubbard and Dina Naples of Medina; two brothers, Joseph R. Dobos III and Ronald R. (Carol) Dobos both of Hubbard; a sister, Clara (Jim) Cozy of Ashtabula; three step grandchildren, Paul and Jerry Homzy and Brandy Miller; two step great granddaughters, Macy and Mia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Jane Dobos.
