TALLMADGE-John A. DeSantis, of Tallmadge and formerly of Hubbard and Phoenix, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Essex Health Care of Tallmadge. He was 102 years old.

John was born on February 22, 1912 in Hubbard Village the son of the late Quirino and Angela (Volpi) DeSantis and lived most of his life in Phoenix, AZ.

A veteran of the United States Navy, John served during World War II.

John enjoyed reading, playing cards and especially enjoyed socializing.

John is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings Dominic, Michael and Louis DeSantis and Marietta Campana, Jennie Papa and Rose Pasquarella.

A Funeral Service will take place (TODAY) Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home where family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Hubbard Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
