HUBBARD John B. Bosela, 87, died Wednesday evening May 23, 2012 at Hospice House. He was born April 14, 1925 in Lowellville, a son of Paul and Anna Lilko Bosela
Mr. Bosela was a self-employed used car dealer at Acme-McGuffey Motors from 1946 till he retired in 2005. He served with the United States Marines during World War II. John fought in the Pacific Campaign in the battles of Eniwetok, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Guam, Marianas Islands and Ryukyu Islands.
John was a member of the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, casino trips, working outdoors and going to flea markets.
His wife, the former Louise Lambert, whom he married August 22, 1953, passed away September 8, 1998.
He leaves four sons, John M. (Linda) Bosela of Boardman, Tom (Cindy) Bosela of Richmond Hill, GA, Greg (Peggy) Bosela of Youngstown and Jeff (Donna) Bosela of Hubbard; a daughter, Rhonda (Tom) Gorman of Twinsburg; two brothers, Frank Bosela of Liberty and Marty (Mary Ester) Bosela of Coitsville, a sister, Dorothy Price and seven grandchildren, Katie, Kerry, Dana, Dylan, Ryan, Ian and Alec.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, Ed, Paul, Joe and Tom Bosela and two sisters, Mary Lipka and Annie Bosela.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with full military honors by the American Legion Post No. 540.
Family and friends may call on Monday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the services on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Belmont Park Cemetery.
